Abandoning the kayaks in the Blue Cave was a test of faith but all managed to retreive and re-enter their craft without problems. Stopping for lunch on the beach was a lovely touch but don’t organise anything later in the day – it takes a fair amount of energy!

We were really lucky to be just one couple… read more on the tour so had what was essentially a private trip and Yiannis was a tour guide of unparalleled expertise, charm and patience with our dodgy steering.

Highlights were stopping at a variety of tiny beaches, accessible only by boat, which also happened to be more or less empty on the day we went. Here we snorkelled to see yellow coral, red starfish and other marine creatures, nourished by iced coffees, fruit and biscuits. Also, the bat cave with its magical blue water and rare bat species – we didn’t manage to find Odysseus’ lost treasure (or Yiannis’ sunglasses) but it was an unforgettable experience.

Highly recommend for anyone in Lefkada who wants to see more of its stunning, unspoilt coastline and learn more about its history, mythology and sea life.

We where given a safety briefing good explanation of how to use the kayak, how to keep safe ect. We set off and went to a cave where we was aloud to get out have a swim in and out of the cave. We then went to a emote beach had lunch there. We was given potato with herbs veg, tzatziki bread & oils, it was simple yet tasted fantastic.
We snorkelled for a bit, Yiannis found us a star fish we took pictures with it then he placed it back.
We then set off to another remote beach, had some melon, more snorkelling where we saw loads of fish, octopus & yellow coral.
We then set back off went via a small cave and back to the beach.

Yiannis kept us out an extra hour, obviously checked no one had a time scale to be back for.

We had a great experience and would recommend this trip with Yiannis 100%

Our guide, Yiannis, was fantastic. He was not only knowledgeable… read more about the area but also super friendly. He was explaining things clearly and keeping us entertained the whole time. We felt safe and well-cared for throughout the entire adventure.

First up, we checked out a hidden blue cave, which was actually a bat cave. We went snorkeling there, and the water was this stunning vibrant blue.

After that, we hit a beach for lunch and more snorkeling. We got to see these bright red starfish.

We then paddled across the bay to another beach, where we did some more snorkeling, this time to see yellow corals. Plus, we had some refreshing fruit to snack on.

On our way back, near the last beach, we stumbled upon another cave, but this one was home to pigeons.

We had zero experience with kayaking, but thanks to our guide’s clear instructions, we did surprisingly well. It was an awesome adventure that let us explore the beauty of Lefkada’s coastline and experience some cool underwater sights. Definitely a trip we’ll remember!
