Not once did I ever feel worried. Yannis was amazing and I was cheering with all the other Kayakers because we were having so much fun. Lorraine was worried about exiting the kayak but Yannis assured her everything was going to be fine and it was . Yannis showed her how to get back in the kayak and she was successful on the first attempt. The two stops for nourishment were great , refreshing and delicious. He gave us a brief introduction into paddeling, so that even… read more as complete beginners it was no problem at all to maneuver the boat and feel safe and comfortable.
During the various stops at a cave that already Odysseus explored and abandoned lovely beaches, Giannis will give you some background to the culture and history of ionian islands. Furthermore, he knows the best snorkeling spots to see some starfish, corals, and amazing underwater-formations (have you ever seen a steep 30m underwater cliff in crystal clear water?).
Last but not least, he will bring some fresh fruit and coffee to snack during the little breaks.
You will not be able to see this magical side of Lefkada, if you are not doing the trip!

For those who may be unsure about going on a kayak trip: If you are considering this tour, please don’t hesitate, because it is truly amazing. Both Giannis and Giannis (both have the same name) kept the entire journey enjoyable. We sang songs while kayaking and shared some terrible dad jokes! You may get tired, of course, but you’ll definitely tone your biceps! They even prepared our lunch, which left us feeling full!

Overall, it was a 10/10 experience, and we felt very fortunate to come across these awesome guys.

Lunch was perfect – potatoes, vegetables with a lovely flavour, and bread and fruit.
We were joined by Victor who was assisting Yannis. He was very nice, and helped us get into the boat after snorkelling etc. etc
Yannis (the owner- yes they are both called Yannis) was very friendly and easy to make the booking with. We booked directly with him via WhatsAp- number is on the website. I forgot my sunglasses and so he just lent me his glasses for the day!

Everything was clearly explained about the kayaks (first experience of feet operated rudder) before we set off from Mikros Gialos along the coast, stopping first at the hidden blue cave for a refreshing swim and for some a leap into the water too!

The next stop gave us the chance to see starfish up close and was impressed to see the care that was taken in handling these delicate creatures

Further stops for more swimming and a refreshing lunch made for a great day, even more enjoyable by the fun and energy provided by our hosts.
